Patrol Dogs

We are a full-time, full service, canine training facility dedicated to providing Law Enforcement, and government agencies with specially trained police dogs, the best available anywhere in the world. We accomplish this by testing hundreds of canines to acquire the best quality of untrained dogs and then train them to our high standards based on your specific needs. All of our trainers are certified police officers, not civilians. They are experienced police dog handlers who have worked in the trenches and know the dogs and training required for effective law enforcement.

Every US K9 canine includes a handler training course during which your handler receives instruction on how to work to be an effective team as well as preparation for the field as well as the courtroom. Through our extensive experience, training and expertise your handlers receive realistic, practical, and comprehensive training designed to prepare them for street situations.

US K9 Unlimited, Inc. has been traveling to Europe since the early 1980s to select only the best prospects for Patrol Canine Training. These dogs range from green (dogs with little or no training), dogs with a lot of training but no title, dogs with the following titles: KNPV, IPO, Schutzhund, French Ring, and ZVV1.

We select canines that can do the following:

• Walk on slick floors
• Social around people
• Good nerves and adapt to any situation
• Civil for a man with no equipment
• Full bite & hold
• Strong pack instinct
• Intense focus on toy with ball & search drive
• Sustain negative corrections with no handler aggression or shut down in drives
• Work in dark small rooms, jump on, over, underneath any objects
